Quite possibly one of the biggest anime of the current generation, Demon Slayer, has had its season 4 release date confirmed, and a brand-new trailer to go with it. This new season is set to be one of the biggest releases of the year despite being considered one of the more lackluster arcs from the original manga.

Previously, it was only known that the anime would be released in spring 2024, and would be one of the headliners of the upcoming anime season.

According to the official website of the project, Demon Slayer season 4 will begin airing on May 12, 2024, and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll. The first episode will be an hour-long special, and there is no information yet on the length of the season.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has a new compilation film in Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training, and it’s a good, if uneven, experience.

Demon Slayer Looks Epic In The New Trailer

Produced by Ufotable, based on the original manga by Koyoharu Gotouge

The opening song will be a collaboration between MY FIRST STORY and HYDE, the artist behind Attack On Titan season 3’s opening “Red Swan”, entitled “Mugen”. MAN WITH A MISSION and milet will be returning to play the ending after lending their voices to season 3’s iconic opening song.

Based on the new Demon Slayer movie, season 4 will be featuring many original anime-only scenes given the short length of the manga’s Hashira Training arc. If the anime were to adapt the arc faithfully, there would be about 5 episodes, and that is a generous estimation. Although new scenes might be controversial, the creator of the series is involved, and with the manga long over, they will have more than enough to supervise the anime and include scenes that will not betray the source material fans have come to know and love.

The Hashira Training Arc is the calm before the epic storm, which is the Infinity Castle arc, the best Demon Slayer arc. Tanjiro and his friends go through intense training to finally take on Muzan and his loyal servants. The next arc might be highly anticipated, but that does not mean this current one isn’t worth checking out. The mystery of not knowing the whole plot of the season makes Demon Slayer season 4 much more charming, and it is a must-watch for anyone who appreciates goods shonen and action.
