A trailer has been released for the just-announced remake of Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead was originally released in 1991, and was a dark comedy that followed what happens when five siblings are left to fend for themselves when their evil babysitter drops dead. The film features a leading cast including Christina Applegate, Joanna Cassidy, John Getz, Josh Charles, Keith Coogan, David Duchovny, and Concetta Tomei.


BET+ has announced a remake of Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. The studio also released a trailer for the film, showing the comedy antics of the leading cast of Nicole Richie and June Squibb, and supporting actors including Ms. Pat, Gus Kenworthy, Simone Joy Jones, Donielle Tremaine Hansley, Miles Fowler, Iantha Richardson and Tyriq Withers.

The Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead remake is directed by Wade Allain-Mercus, who is known for his acting work in the TV series Insecure. Its script is written by Ted Lasso writer Chuck Hayward, and produced by BET+. Tyra Banks is an executive producer on the film, alongside fellow producers Juliet Berman, Oren Segal, Justin Nappi, and Juliana Maio.
