February brought movies from different genres and for viewers of all ages, and these, along with the first big releases of March, can be enjoyed in theaters right now. After a couple of rough years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2023 was a huge year for cinema, with massive box-office successes like Barbie and Oppenheimer, and critically acclaimed stories like Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. 2024 also has various highly-anticipated movies coming up, of which some can be currently enjoyed in theaters.

January 2024 was a surprisingly busy month when it comes to theatrical releases, and February carried on with some exciting titles, such as Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle, Zelda Williams’ Lisa Frankenstein, and more. Along with February’s most popular movies, some of January’s biggest and most popular movies can still be enjoyed in theaters, and joining them now are the second part of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, a bizarre but exciting horror movie, and an Oscar-nominated movie with an interesting narrative.

10 Dune: Part Two

Dune: Part Two was released on March 1, 2024.

The second part of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel Dune is now in theaters. Dune: Part Two sees Paul Atreides uniting with Chani and the Fremen as he seeks revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. If that wasn’t enough, Paul will face a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the universe, and must prevent a terrible future that only he can foresee.

Stopmotion is an adult animated horror movie that combines live-action and stop-motion animation. Stopmotion tells the story of Ella Blake, the daughter of stop-motion animator Suzanne. When she’s unable to continue working due to arthritis, Suzanne enlists Ella’s help, and after Suzanne suffers a stroke, Ella decides to finish her movie. However, Ella soon finds herself consumed by the grotesque world of her horrifying creations, and everything quickly takes a deadly turn.

Drive-Away Dolls is a comedy road film that takes viewers back to 1999 to meet friends Jamie and Marian – Jamie is a free spirit, while Marian needs to learn to loosen up. After yet another breakup, Jamie convinces Marian to go on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee with her, with the purpose of having a fresh start. However, their plans soon take a wild turn when they come across a group of inept criminals who hid something very important to them in the rental car that was given to Jamie and Marian by mistake.
