Din Djarin actor Brendan Wayne has shared an update on The Mandalorian & Grogu, particularly regarding the next Star Wars movie’s script.

In an interview with The Chatooine Show, Wayne is asked if he knows anything about the movie, to which he cheekily replies, “I know everything about [the movie].” When teased about revealing the fact that the script is, in fact, already written, Wayne insists “they couldn’t have greenlit something without a script!” He goes on to add more details about what viewers can expect from Jon Favreau, as well as Dave Filoni, with the upcoming movie script.

I will tell you, honestly, like Jon [Favreau] would never do that. I understand production, like the studio, being like, ‘Hey, you’re doing a movie, not doing season 4?’ If that’s how it occurred. That’s fair, because it’s in their best interest. They make more money off a movie, it’s not even close. It’s not even close! But Jon loves and honors everything he does, but specifically Star Wars, because for him, it means something beyond this moment. He would never do something half-assed. It matters too much to him. And Filoni would never let it happen.

Given how involved Wayne will be, and already is, as the one who takes up Din Djarin’s armor while lead actor Pedro Pascal attends to his other projects, his words are extremely promising. It’s clear that Favreau is doing his best work for everyone who’s waiting on The Mandalorian & Grogu – and on Star Wars’ first return to the movie theater since 2019.
