One-a-day games like Connections, or the popular Wordle, have infested our lives in the past few years. It seems everyone has a couple of go-to short games they like to play in the morning, or during a mid-day break. The range of difficulties and topics is ideal for almost anyone to join in. If you prefer difficult games, Quordle might be your cup of tea. If you like a more casual experience you could always spend ten minutes crafting Taylor Swift in Infinite Craft, (yes that is a real thing.) No matter the skill level, there is something available for you.

Our second win for today was the yellow category. BLAST and SLAM were the leads in this particular storm and after clearing out the green category it was easy to grab the missing two and score this win.

We scored the green category today first, but not without wasting a few attempts. DOH from the purple category really mucked up our game as we insisted it went along with SORRY and OOPS. After a few misses, we dropped DOH and hit the win with PARDON and APOLOGIES. Looking back it’s obvious now, but you know what they say, hindsight is handing two birds to a bush.

Our third score for today’s Connections game, and even though they didn’t stand out right away it was easy to identify the category here when only this and the purple words were left. DEFENSE and EXCUSE are the obvious beginning words and the others popped into the win nicely.

Our absolute favorite Connections categories are fill-in-the-blanks, and we’re sad we didn’t actually score this one on our own. But that is the best part of the game, you only need to win three of the four to score an overall win. For us, it took way too long to figure out Play-Doh, not because we’d never heard of the fun-colored putty, but because we couldn’t get Homer Simpson out of our heads.
