Hazmat Rejoins the Avengers Just In Time To Have A Major Impact

In addition to forcefully releasing energy, Jennifer’s whole body can be a weapon under certain circumstances. This will make it difficult for vampires to even approach her – a feature that may prove her an invaluable member of the team in their fight against the vampire threat.

Jennifer Takeda had a rough start as a hero. She was recruited to the Avengers Academy after developing radioactive abilities, but when she turned to Norman Osborne for help, she was experimented on instead. Her abilities became even more erratic and out of control, and by the time she joined the first Avengers Academy class, she was in a containment suit at all times. She is constantly absorbing radiation, toxic waste, and other hazardous materials until her body can no longer contain them, forcing her to release them in blasts, or risk a more violent explosion.

However, Hazmat has learned a lot since her time at the Academy. She no longer requires the containment suit all the time – a feat she credits mostly to meditation. She wields with an incredible amount of power, with much less risk, and that’s precisely what the Avengers will need going into the “Blood Hunt” event. In addition to forcefully releasing energy, Jennifer’s whole body can be a weapon under certain circumstances. This will make it difficult for vampires to even approach her – a feature that may prove her an invaluable member of the team in their fight against the vampire threat.

Cap’s new team is unexpected, but they cover a lot of bases. They will have speed, strength, and plenty of quick minds on their side. Hazmat’s radioactive blasts add an element no one else on the roster possesses, and it’s unlikely that the vampires they’re facing will be prepared for the destructive energy she’s capable of unleashing.
