Maria Georgas’ Bachelor Journey Up To Hometowns

Maria’s Bachelor journey with Joey started out strong, and they even shared a kiss on premiere night. However, Sydney Gordon soon decided that Maria was a “mean girl” and a bully because of comments made by Maria that Sydney misconstrued as Maria belittling Madina Alam’s concerns about her age. Sydney was relentless in her mission to expose Maria to the other contestants and Joey, even though her accusations were false. Maria ended up on a two-on-one date with Sydney, during which Joey eliminated Sydney because he thought that Maria sounded more sincere than her.

However, after Sydney left, Lea Cayanan continued to bully Maria. Jess Edwards also had a confrontation with Maria when Maria stole Joey away to spend time with him at a cocktail party during which she already had a rose. However, this was hypocritical because Jess had spent more time with Joey on premiere night after they’d already shared a kiss. Maria was so upset by some of the women’s meanness toward her that she nearly self-eliminated from the show.

Maria finally had a one-on-one date with Joey during episode 6 when they visited Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Their connection continued to grow stronger. However, during episode 7, Maria saw Joey kiss Jenn Tran on a group date. This caused her to spiral because she’d already been concerned about introducing him to her family during a hometown date when they weren’t exclusive with each other. Maria told Joey that she didn’t know if she could continue with the show, and she nearly self-eliminated again. However, Maria decided to stay, and Joey gave her a rose which meant that he wanted to meet her family during a hometown date.

The Bachelor: 8 Signs The Show Doesn’t Care About Maria Georgas

The Bachelor’s Maria Georgas has had a difficult time on the show so far. There are many signs that the producers care more about the drama than her.

Maria’s Hometown Date Went Very Well

Joey and Maria traveled to Niagra Falls for her hometown date. He began the date by admitting in his confessional that he was worried that she’d almost left, adding that it seemed that they tend to take one step forward, but two steps back. He expressed that he didn’t want to leave there with doubt. Maria said in her confessional that her biggest fear was that she could fall for Joey and then get her heart broken. She confessed that her instinct was to run away because she was scared, but the truth was that she wanted to be all in with Joey and prove it to him.

Joey and Maria spent the day together on the Maid of the Mist, the Niagra Falls boat tour. Later, they had an open conversation about Maria almost leaving. She told him that he was the epitome of everything she’d ever wanted in a man, and it was hard for her to see him with anyone else. Joey told her that her having fears didn’t scare him, but her almost walking away did.

Joey said that he wanted to feel confident with her, and Maria told him that she would never do that again. Maria then admitted that she’d never brought anyone home to meet her family before. Joey thought it was special, but he was also concerned that she’d gone that long in life without opening up to someone and showing that side of herself.

That night, Joey met Maria’s family, including her father, Nick, with whom she’s especially close. He also met her mother, Lori, her brothers, Steven and Soto, and her friend, Brittany. The date went very well, and Nick even gave Joey his blessing. Maria cried when she spoke privately with her father, especially when he told her that he gave Joey his blessing. Nick said that he’d never seen Maria this happy. Joey and Maria ended the night watching Maria’s childhood home videos.

However, Maria didn’t tell Joey that she was in love with him, even though she said in her confessional that she was actually there. Instead, she said that she felt very strongly about him, and it was continuing to grow. She told him that she appreciated him being there with her family, and he responded that he appreciated that she invited him. Maria admitted in her confessional that she wanted to tell him how she felt, but she wondered why she was so worried. She said that she didn’t know why she didn’t say it, and she just froze. Maria regretted that Joey was leaving without knowing how she really felt.

The Bachelor: 8 Reasons Why Maria Georgas Should Be The Next Bachelorette

The Bachelor season 28 introduced Joey Graziadei to 32 new women hoping to win his heart. One of them should be cast as the next Bachelorette.

Joey Eliminated Maria At The Rose Ceremony

The Bachelor Season 28 Contestant Maria Georgas Meeting Joey Graziadei

At the beginning of the rose ceremony, Maria said in her confessional that she thought that Kelsey, Daisy, and Rachel probably told Joey that they were falling in love with him or in love with him, but she didn’t. Maria still had regrets about not telling him that she was falling in love with him. Before Joey started to give out the roses, Maria decided to pull him aside to tell him that she was falling in love with him. However, Joey didn’t give Maria the rose, and their relationship ended.

Joey walked Maria out and told her that she hoped that she knew how difficult it was for him. He told her that they had a bumpy road, but he’d fought for her, and “chosen us.” He said that he tried everything in his power to get to the point of continuing to see a future. He went into hometowns with her very open and ready to see what came next.

However, Joey said that he felt that it would be “dishonest” of him to move forward with Maria with the amount of doubts that he had. Joey told her that their relationship meant a lot to him, and he cared for her. Maria smiled and said that it was “fine,” and left in the limousine.

Maria told the cameras that she was confused. She expressed that she showed all of herself and told Joey that she was falling in love with him. Maria said, “If that’s not enough for him, then what more can I give this man? It sucks. And it makes me sad because it’s like Joey was everything that I’ve always wanted, and it doesn’t come often where I feel this way. But I should’ve told him how I felt a lot sooner than I did, and that’s my biggest regret.”

Although Maria and Joey didn’t find their happy ending together, she has become a Bachelor Nation fan favorite. It would be thrilling to see Maria take the lead of the next season of The Bachelorette. Maria deserves to find the love that she’s been searching for.
