Unlike the long-range abilities of Quan-Chi or the lethal up-close brawling of Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1, Peacemaker takes a balanced approach. This character has many options from anywhere on the screen using their signature helmet, which comes equipped with many gadgets. It is recommended that you go into Practice mode to experiment with Peacemaker’s move list and prepare for future battles.

Special Move

How to Perform (PS5)

Description

Silent And Deadly

Down, Back, Square

Peacemaker fires a poisonous barb from his mouth at an upward diagonal angle. This move can be a great way to extend combos.

(Delay) Silent And Deadly

(During Silent And Deadly) Hold Square

Keeping the barb near his mouth, Peacemaker doesn’t fire the dart until you let go of the Square input. You can move left or right from this stance, or cancel the move by pressing R2.

Force Multiplier

Back, Forward, Square

Peacemaker fires a single shot from his pistol as a projectile. Enhancing this move fires three shots, with the final bullet restanding and crumpling your opponent.

Activate Human Torpedo!

Back, Forward, Triangle

After a brief moment, Peacemaker activates his helmet, launching himself forward to ram into his opponent. This move can be easily punished if blocked. The enhanced version of this move has super armor.

Activate Anti-Gravity

Down, Back, Triangle

Peacemaker flies into the air before landing on top of his opponent. You can determine where you land by pressing Forward or Back during this move, or Up to perform aerial attacks as you land. The enhanced version gives you even greater flight control, allowing you to even activate the move again.

Special Move

How to Perform (PS5)

Description

Activate Force Field

Forward, Down, Back, X

After a brief start-up, Peacemaker activates a force field around himself that destroys incoming projectiles. The enhanced version of this move reflects projectiles back to your opponent.

Activate Sonic Boom

Back, Forward, X

Peacemaker activates a large blast of energy that launches his opponent into the air. The enhanced version of this move allows you to follow up with aerial attacks for a combo.

Ground-Air Offensive

Down, Forward, Circle

Eagley flies from under a jumping Peacemaker to hit his opponent with a low-striking attack.

Beautiful Bird Bullet

Down, Back, Circle

Peacemaker calls upon Eagley, who flies across the screen as a projectile to attack his opponent.

The Ultimately Ally

Down + L2

Eagley arrives at Peacemaker’s request to attack an opponent’s Kameo, preventing his opponent from using that character’s assisting attacks for a short time.

The Best Kameos For Peacemaker

Mortal Kombat 1 Stryker Kameo with Hidden Treasure Grove Stage in Background

The best Kameo characters in Mortal Kombat 1 for Peacemaker are Stryker, Kung Lao, and Sektor since each of these fighters has moves that complement his gameplay. Stryker has powerful grenades that can cover Peacemaker’s approach toward a rival fighter. This makes up for Peacemaker’s somewhat slow movement and allows you to get in on opponents who try to keep you away.

Kung Lao serves a similar purpose, but with many more advantages than you might expect. The Hat Teleport move on this Kameo gives you a way to approach enemies quickly and confuse them with attacks like Activate Anti-Gravity. The Low Hat attack from Kung Lao also gives you an opportunity to establish offense safely, giving you a chance to apply pressure and drive your opponent into a corner in Mortal Kombat 1.

The final Kameo that could work with Peacemaker, Sektor, is an excellent option for those who want to keep their distance during a match. Peacemaker’s Force Multiplier and Eagley projectiles make him a menace from full screen, especially since he can eliminate enemy zoning with Activate Force Field. Sektor’s missile attacks cover gaps in your long-range attacks, letting you fill the screen with bullets and explosives.

How To Play Peacemaker

Mortal Kombat 1 Peacemaker about to perform Fatal Blow attack with Khameleon Kameo

Peacemaker excels at mid-range combat that utilizes tricky mix-up moves to catch your opponents off guard. Several throws at the end of Peacemaker’s basic attacks can easily damage an enemy fighter that is too focused on defending themselves from your other moves. The special moves of Peacemaker make up the core of this character by giving you many ways to open up your opponent over and over.

Fighters in
Mortal Kombat 1
cannot block Low attacks while standing, even if they are blocking in that position. Similarly, Overhead attacks cannot be blocked while an opponent is crouching.

Rely on Eagley to enforce tricky situations such as the quick low attack from Peacemaker’s Ground-Air Offensive special move. Use Activate Force Field and Activate Sonic Boom to react defensively to your opponent’s actions, while other attacks like Activate Anti-Gravity can help close the distance. The key to success with Peacemaker is to play unpredictably and brash, much like the character’s personality.

“Oh, I Remember This” – Mortal Kombat 1 Review

Mortal Kombat 1 reboots the series for the second time in 30 years, and while the fighting is good it’s clear everyone is unsure how to move forward.

Sample Peacemaker Kombos

Many of Peacemaker’s basic attack strings can be canceled into special moves to lead to full combos in Mortal Kombat 1. Many Kameo fighters have attacks that can extend these combos, but you may want to become familiar with some simple strings before diving into anything too complex. Here are some basic combos to get you started (with PS5 inputs):

  • Triangle, Triangle, Square + X -> Down, Back, Circle (Beautiful Bird Bullet) -> Back, Forward, Triangle (Activate Human Torpedo!)
  • Forward + Circle, Square, Triangle -> Down, Forward, Circle (Ground-Air Offensive) -> Triangle, Triangle, Square + X -> Down, Back, Circle (Beautiful Bird Bullet)
  • Triangle, Triangle -> Back, Forward, X (Activate Sonic Boom) -> Dash Forward -> Forward + Circle, Square, Triangle -> Back, Forward, Triangle (Activate Human Torpedo!)

You can substitute any of the final special moves in these combos for a Fatal Blow, a powerful super move you can use once per round when your health is dangerously low. This attack can be activated by pressing both L2 + R2 at the same time. For more combos with Peacemaker, check out a very detailed video by YouTube creator ahmz1404 that has both simple and advanced sequences for the character.

How To Do Peacemaker’s Fatalities

Peacemaker’s fatality finishing moves can only be performed once you have won a match and performed a complex input. This button sequence also depends on how close you are to your opponent’s stunned character. You can unlock fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1 by leveling up Peacemaker, but you are able to activate these gory attacks at any point as long as you use the right input.

While it may take you some time to adjust to Peacemaker’s unorthodox style of fighting compared to other characters, these fatalities will be your reward for learning how to win. All the moves, combos, and fatalities for Peacemaker in Mortal Kombat 1 make them one of the most interesting fighters in the franchise’s history for you to enjoy.
